My stock HD shocks set on the most preload never seemed to bottom out.
Im a 200 pounder...give er take gear.

But they would top out,,hard,,
so that stock spring would prolly do pretty well on a decent damper.....

I have stated in the pages that my stock shocks were the equivalent of the immoveable object. In reality the stock shocks should work as well as or better than all the aftermarket shocks, but we'll never see that as long as we keep buying Harley's with the, (quoting Cycle World) the best $5.00 shocks money can buy and quietly replace them without griping.

Intiminators are an absolute and well worth the $$$. As for the shocks...ouch on the $$$. Even though they will make a noticeble difference, I'm not sure they justify the cost.
Brian at Ricor will answer all your questions but don't ask him too many as he will not longer answer them.
