I use high during the day. I use low when cars approching at night, I do leave them on High long enough to make sure they see me.

I switched to the Sylvania Silverstar bulb (9003 ST), and have been told I'm very visible during the day, even with it on low beam. I use the high beam at night and it becomes day time -- I can see the four-legged critters well in advance.

I always run brights, except if I'm sitting at a traffic light at night, and notice I'm blinding the people in the cage in front of me, then I'll usually dim until the green light.

Seems like a lot are using the high beam during daylight hours. I have been using the low beam but it appears as though high might be the way to go.

get road lamps- they add extra light at night and also make cagers much more aware you are there and it is a bike not a car with one headlight out.

Flip it to high as soon as the sun peeks over the mountains.

I used to run with Highs all the time, but after i got the auxiliary lamps, mainly using the lows. Those auxiliaries combined with the regular (Silverstar) beam makes you quite visible.

I run low beams with passing lamps.

As an aside, my passing lamps turn off when I switch to high beams. Is that normal or just how the dealer installed them?
