Default First Ride into town

Never ridden in my life or been on the back of a bike.

Passed Rider's Edge and got my license last week. Been riding around the neighborhood the last few days and finally got the nerve to ride the bike to town to get some gas. It was a 5 mile run total but I made it with some important things to note.

1. Didn't spill the bike
2. Didn't kill anyone or crash into anything
3. Didn't kill myself (obviously)

I'm stoked.

Strange thing was that during class, every time we had a new exercise, I always thought I wouldn't be able to do that thing but somehow I managed it. Same with today's ride. Looking forward to taking longer and longer rides.

I had my first real road ride yesterday too! I was just going down the road to pay a bill, and while thinking about it before getting on the bike I was kind of scared. I realized I need to push my self a little and took off. Once I got on the bike and started riding I was very relaxed. It was amazing. Nice easy ride without any incidents (well except for taking off and forgetting to zip up my jacket, it was chilly too).

Couple more like these and there will be no stopping us!

You guys are both using great adjectives to describe being a pilot for the 1st time out there in the big bad world. Relaxed but aware is what you want to be, especially in todays world of "I think my car is a phone booth".

Enjoy it, there's very little that compares to what you've now got a taste for.

Glad to see a lot of us new riders coming in here and sharing our experiences and being so welcomed by the Veterans..

Also interesting to see how we are thinking and acting in similar ways as things are progressing. I enjoy hearing of how others are going through the same things as myself.
