Visit your local dealer and sit on an XR1200X. You only need to get the ball of one foot on the ground. If you can't do that, next stop is an XL1200R. Don't even think of lowering one of those either!

If you are misguided by the current vogue of wanting to put both feet flat on the ground (I've never been able to do that in almost half a million miles) then look at bikes that get you close, not ones that leave you hanging by your *** in mid air!

Low---Ri---Der---
Move a little slower,,,,,

Low may look cool and all that, But Im married and don't need to
Impress the girls.
Besides I prefer handling and to me that means leaning a bike
over In a curve and not scraping a thing.

I have to add,,I cannot Imagine not being able to put both feet
flat on the ground when stopped on a 600 Lbs sportster,,In the rain,,
on slick *** roads,,or in gravel.

So for those smaller riders I do Understand wanting lower,,,

AS for the XR,,If you can ride at the level that bike deserves then tip toe'd
stops would be worth the risk.

Quoted for truth! I can barely get the ***** of my feet on the ground at rest. I one-leg it anyway but I also (gulp) raised the rear end on my XR by 1.5" with Works Performance shocks. I am 5'7"ish.

Default Whyyyyyyy

I absolutely love my xr1200. As short as I am (5'3") I would like it shorter, but I'm not about to ruin my entire bike over it .It's so comfortable when I'm going down the road that I can deal with it being talk at the occasional light or stop sign .
