My 1200c project
I have been looking for a bike for a year and a half now. Just waiting for that right bike to come along. Few times I almost pulled the trigger but didn't and regretted doing so :/ So finally came across a bike two weeks ago that I couldn't pass up, it was a non running bike which kinda scared me but still pulled the trigger. I am waiting on my manual to shop up so I can get the cams back in, all the fluids changed, and all other basics to see what is going on with the motor. So in the mean time..
Started to strip the bike down and tackle some of the things I wanted to do while I was waiting for the manual. Enjoy and plenty more to come
Here she was in all her glory 03 Sportster 1200c
Tear down
Tank off to dump the gas
Everything off
Figured I would play around with the harness and get rid of what I dont need and relocate some of the stuff.
Factory harness is a mess, so I de-pinned everything and got everything untangled and separated out
Cut a hole in the rear piece that covers the sprocket
Today spent a few hours fabricating an exhaust.
1 3/4 stepped to 2"
Put the factory air filter on to make sure everything cleared
Front done (still need to add tips and exhaust lollipop before paint)
Back half done
Close to being done
oh what?! got frisky as well and we decided to completely change the paint scheme too! Here is the base. stay tuned to more on the tank and rear fender!
This last week has been a busy week staying after work to work on the bike. I have a ton of parts coming in the next few weeks in order to get ready for summer.

Made some really good progress these last few days. Pictures will come shortly. Got the wiring finished up and loomed, front forks taken off and shaved down and ready for paint, tank ready for the second round of paint, rear fender has been cut and ready for paint now, coil cover is ready for paint, handle bars have had the wired pulled through and ready for install once the new triple tree's come, exhaust is 90 percent done, just need to install the lollipops and mounting brackets and good to go.
