I have one, but it's called Throttle Rocker. Looks like the same thing, but I know the TR has been around a long time.

I have mine on the grip all the time due to laziness, but you're right in assuming it's not helpful in stop & go situations. But on the highway, it's great to be able to place your open hand on top of the the throttle and wiggle your fingers without losing speed.

It can screw you up big time if you don't have it positioned correctly. There's a sweet spot where you can cruise with an open hand, but can still roll completely off without having to let go. But it's much safer than using the star screw to hold the throttle in place because with the TR the throttle will snap closed if your hand comes off the grip.

Yep, what he said. The sweet spot is important.

+1 on buy a similar one off ebay. Got mine for under $10 shipped.

Cool

Got one,,Use It only on longer rides,,
Mines from J&P cycle,,,velcro type,,,
works for me.

Also notice the small extension on the throttle tension star.
I pushed It out to the middle,,when off It's against the throttle cable tube
and not In the way.
When pushed all the way forward with the tension set correctly you can still
rotate the throttle fully.
Kinda nice to release and flex your hand or Straighten your package XD

I forget how long I've used one. Since my first Honda I guess, and I've never found it to be in my way in town. Once I have it set, it stays there. That thing is maybe the best thing I have done to any of my scooters. You don't need to "white knuckle" the grip with it, you can relax and still be in complete control of the throttle.

Have one, love it, but be careful at first - you can inadvertantly twist the throttle in a corner.

I use the Throttle Rocker with the velcro strap. I have large Drag Specialties foam grips so the strap adjusts it to any size grip and is quick to adjust or remove. $9.95 from my HD dealer.

Only problem is hitting a big bump sometimes causes my hand to snap the throttle open some if I'm not prepared for it.

I've got one, reserved for long trips.
