3.3 Gallon Nightster Tank
Usually my fuel indicator comes on after around 90-95 miles.
Just curious if anyone knows how many miles I can get out of the reserve?
I think there should be about 1.1 gallon left in the tank when the light comes on.
I guess I'm getting about 45 mpg, just don't want to risk getting stranded on the Freeway on my 30 mile commute back from work.

I knew there wasn't an easy straight answer out there, and that it all depends on a bunch of variables.
I guess I'll just start looking for gas stations after around 100 miles.... Thanks for the link to that thread Murdered Iron, I knew there was probably one out there, I just couldn't find it !

If you stand your bike up while filling it you should get 3.3 gallons in it. My wifes light comes on she usually puts 1.9-2.0 gallons in it. So 1.1 to 1.3 is probably whats left so thats another 45 miles. She gets about 47-50mpg, 55mpg on trips and her bike has a Frankenstein trike kit on it to boot.
