Default Baffled by baffles--please help

I have a 2009 883 custom with Screamin Eagle Street Performance Slip Ons (part # 80503-07) Needless to say, the slips ons really don't sound that much better than the stock pipes. My head is spinning from reading all the different posts on slip ons & baffles. I don't want the sound to be obnoxious, just a little more of a deeper rumble. Does anyone know if the BCT QQ baffles (part # SE-SF) will fit my slip ons and if so, how difficult would it be to install them. Also, I was given another alternative to just replace the SE Slip ons with Cycle Shack Slip ons but then I have to go the route of getting a power commander etc. I am looking for the easiest and least expensive way to get the sound I want. Any advise will be greatly appreciated.

I don't know If you can fit other baffs In those slip ons.
But I did get to Listen to several setups side by side,,

On a new 48,,It Had Rush slip ons with 1.75" Baffles,,
Very nice, deep base and only a small amount od De-cell pop, very small.
Same shop a almost New custom,
Same Rush slip on's and 2" baffles,,,LOUDER,,,a good bit Louder,,
More De-cell pop,,say double the 1.75 but still not alot.

SE slips ons didn't hold a candle to the Rush slips in the base department,
Don't know the baffle size but No De-cell pop at all.

The Larger the baffle openning the less scavanging you have,,
Hence More de-cell pop with all things being equal.

I do not know what Is considerd too much De-cell pop,,as In
a real noticable loss of performance or If and at what point
engine damage can occur,,,IF at all,,,,Anyone ??

When I got my XL50 it had the SE street slip on and I hated them-did not sound good at all. I took the baffles out and drilled a few extra holes in the ramped part of the baffels 1/2" and then enlarged the stock holes to 1/2"-if you ever pull the baffles out you will see what I'm talking about. They sounded better, but still not what I wanted so I just removed them. The bike was crazy lound due to the size of the SE slip on's so I ended up getting a set of Martin Bro's pipes and took the baffels out of them and love the sound.

The SE baffles sometimes come out easy and sometimes they do not like to come out at all. There are 2 screws and nuts on each muffler that hold them in. I don't think BCT makes baffles for the SE street slip on's so you might be better off just getting a set of RUSH slip on's. You should not need a PC or tuner with just the slip on's

Call BCT. They are very helpful and I am sure they have a baffle for the SE Slip ons. Getting the old ones out can be bear, but I did hear some folks say that if they are warm still it's easier. Putting the new ones in is a 10 minute job.

I had a set of rush slip-ons. They sounded good. Nothing sounds like full exhaust, but they worked well.

I would pull the SE Baffles and enlarge the holes before you buy anything I mean it's a freebie so giver a try.
