Maybe I didn't realize why you asked.
Yeah Roadsters got a Tach and yeah I do look at It once in a while.
But I still say the best way to Learn the Sportster powerband would be to Wrap a Do-Rag over the Speedo,,for a week or two,,
And Learn some throttle control,,Twist that thing,,then twist It some more,

Guages ! We don need to stinkin guages !
We Is Sporster riders,,

Wimps should stay on the porch XD

It'd be cool if they made a sporty with wings...we can worry about landing later.

Not ever owning one I can't really offer much for this but I would like to see more of the nightster type models. Maybe a halfway chopped Nightster or something.

S&S already builds a 100 CI motor, lets start with the big inch motor and keep the weight down. Inverted forks, and 6-speed.

I do, if I was ready for a sportsbike I would have bought a Buell. Harley Davidson is going to regret dropping Buell in a few years. Especially if a company like Polaris decides they can make some money.

100 HP from factory, drop the seat down into the frame, different handle bar & riser options as a standard option, and that 6 speed tranny. Hell, the MoCo still hasn't even done a CVO/SE option of the sporty line like they have with all/most of the other models.

Like was said it seems like most want a dyan LOL! The sportster is always going to be a smaller bike with a lower cc engine-that is what seporates them from the big BT bikes. A fuel gauge would be nice for sure. I think all bikes should come with a tach. Really the Dyan is like a big sporty, really don't get differant looking till you get to the softail line.

Nightster is as close as my dream bike could be. Been on Softail for half year. Went back to Sportster..... Never regretted.
