I have my 08 883 sportster in the shop getting an NRHS 1250 CONVERSION KIT installed PLUS a POWER COMMANDER Fuel MGT system.

Have you ever heard that the bike needs a HD 1200 DOWNLOAD in addition to the Power Commander ?????

i see the power commander only supports the basic exhaust and filter change , so a 1200 download mite be needed...

 

I just spoke to him again .. Thats the story I'm being told -- The 1200 download is needed BEFORE the Power Commander can do its job .. ??? Unfortunatley it added about $400 to the entire job. In all my research on conversions I've never heard of having to do a download and then add a fuel manager...OH well

 

Have never heard of this and do not see why that would even make sense. For that price you could have just gotten a Thundermax since it basically replaces your ECM anyways.
