Default What's different about a S.E. intake?

Looking at a S.E. air cleaner...looks very very close to stock, which is part of why I like it. It occurred to me, what is different about this thing from the stock intake? Has anyone had the chance to compare the stocker and the S.E.?

appreciate input - cheers!

If you're talking about a S.E. Stage 1 it's a new backing plate and filter combo that allows for much better air flow than the stock set up. It uses the stock air cleaner cover.

The backing plate Is only as large at the filter. It leaves a complete
openning all the way around behind the ham can.
Its also shaped for better flow inside the filter area.
The lower scooped Inclosed backing plate Is removed.
You will hear more Intake noise also.
Claimed 5 to 7 hp Increase.

Also just to add:
The Harley OEM and SE filter is not oiled, while most aftermarket used K&N oiled gauze type filter.

Yeah I like my enclosed ham can,,with the stock backplate and scoop.
For ***** n giggles when I find the time to "Punch" out the blocking disk
In my stock pipes I'm gonna put a true K&N Oiled filter In that stock
breather box,,,
We'll see If I actually feel anything..
Don't freak I got the X14ieD's on er already...

I rode a full stage one 1200c with the SE breather kit,,I don't wanna hear that Intake noise.
Ok so I'm not right,,In the head XD

My xieds should be here this week. Was thinking about just getting a K&N filter in the stock ham can for a little extra flow. I'm not so sure I want all that intake noise. Pipes are SE so not loud enough to down a noisy intake. Thanks for the advice.

Yeah, if they ever get here. Int'l shipping sometimes takes a bit longer, plus the long weekend. I am looking forward to checking them out.
