Nightster w/bad ECM. Now what??? :(
#11
I've heard of it before but wasnt too keen on having it happen to me!! Oh well, easy plug and play replacement=no labor, if I go the oem way...here's my dilemma though, I'm running v&h straight shots and se air cleaner. I'm either gonna need a tune or fuel management. Who know maybe this is why my ECM went out, no tune or management. And yes, I bought the bike as it sits.
Btw Von how much would your 1200r ECM be? I'm assuming all 1200 sportster ECM's are interchangeable/compatible??

****update****
Well first I want to thank such a great forum and group of guys. I was led in all directions in trying to diagnose this mess and appreciate all replies!!!
Problem was solved and I know I couldn't have ever pinned it myself. It was the fuel pressure regulator. It wasn't bad but just came off the connection inside the tank!! It's fixed and I gotta go pick it up Tommorrow. Thanks y'all!!!
God bless
