I have an 08 Nightster and am running Vance and Hines straight shots without a fuel management system ie fuel pack or power commander. Is this ok?? Or do I need to remap fuel? I'm sure performance is lagging but can I actually damage anything without?

 

I just installed V&H Short shots without any type of management. Probably not the best thing to do performance wise.... I have been told it will be ok without any type of fuel management untill I swap out the air cleaner. Some people will say NO some people will say yes. Im not sure.... I did some research and cant find anything that will hurt the motor by doing this. How long have you had them on?

 

Are you having any issues? By this I mean -
poor idle
backfiring
sputtering
poor accelleration
popping on decel (w/downshift)
backfiring
Has your gas mileage changed drastically?
These will be among the 1st signs of the need for fuel management.
