The bike will suck you dry if youre not careful. I'm a prime example lol. You should try putting the 883 iron bars on they are a bit narrower with a little less pull back but, they improve the responsiveness of the bike by a long shot for a decent price I paid about $60 for mine. Hopefully you won't ride as hard as I do and drag those nice pipes in a hard right corner. The nightster is a perfectly capable bike for long road trips you just have to plan your route a little more carefully than most people. The furthest I've ridden in a day was 1127 miles. If you can deal with a bit of a sore butt it's great.
