LOL Kidding,,
NOT kidding. My '98 1200C had **** falling off all the time. I was lucky enough to be able to backtrack and pick up my tail light twice. Not so lucky when I lost my crank case breather bolts, and my hypercharger was constantly coming loose, no matter how much blue threadlocker I used.

Rubber mounted engine, and fuel injection are so much better IMO.

Purchased my '08 Last May, 5K miles, SE slip on's were the only mod. Private seller and delivered it 80 mi to my house for $6600. Found local seller on Ebay, went and saw the bike, offered cash. Wanted one basically stock so I didn't pay for someone else's vanity mods. Now it has what I want and haven't paid for more. I found 8 to look at in the local area between Craig's list and Ebay. Good luck there are a lot out there including a lot of repos.

Yeah I would only buy a stock bike also,,
"Wanted one basically stock so I didn't pay for someone else's vanity mods."
Ain't that the truth.
Also I figgert a stage one home done or dealer means the previous owner wanted
more power and that means he/she was hammering the bike, wringin It out for all
It was worth,,
Like I said I ride Mine for all Its worth,,BUT I do It smoothly, Never yankin It
and I can out run most because I took the time to really learn the power band.
Not just rushing to get to the top of the tach,,Ain't no torque up there anyways.
never missed a gear, never free rev'ed it
I see so many start a cold bike and top out the RPM's to Impress their freinds,
showin off the stage one or hot new exhaust.
Only a stock or nearly stock bike for me.
No engine mods ever.
