Default new risers?

I have a 1200 Roadster and realize trhe riding postion is setup a bit more "sporty". I think I would be more comfortable with the bars up about 1'+ and back about 1-2". Does HD offer different risers or could I use the riser off of a Custom? Would this affect the handling of the bike at all?

I was thinking of going with these.

They won't get you any additional rise (I don't think) but they should bring the bars back 1 1/2", which I believe will be more comfortable for me.

Yes, the Custom riser will work if you have the 4.5 gal tank. If you have the 3.3, the speedo will not clear the taller tank due to the 'bend' of the built in speedo bracket. However, you can get a Custom riser / speedo bracket / clamp off of a 01 Custom (that's what I have w/ my 3.3 gal tank) because the older ones did not have the 'bend'.

In my opinion, if you're uncomfortable, no bike handles well.

I put 4 inch risers off of a Dyna. They are straight up, but they brought the bars up and back. They made my Roadster alot more comfortable for me. It allows me to have a slight bend in my elbows and now my hands don't get numb anymore.
