I am putting on some V&H short shots this weekend on my Iron. Would I need to change the gaskets. Bike only has 4500 on it.

Its always a good idea to change them when you pull the pipes off.

i changed mine out when i put my vance&hines on at 5000 miles, they looked really clean but also had indentions from the old pipes which would have made it hard to get the 2 into 1's in the right place. I ended up just changing just the back one out after battling with trying to get it back into place for an hour or so.

I've never had any problem getting the Screamin Eagle gaskets in.

I just replaced mine and I had no problem with them. They went in very easy and stayed right in place when I put the pipes back on. I used the Sceamin Eagle type.

Just picked up the SE gaskets, test fitted, will have no problem getting them in. What irritates me is the dealer never offered me the SE gaskets and they were half the price of the HD ones.
