Default Rush Slip on install problem

Hey guys i have an 09 iron and i was wondering if i have to take the header pipes off to install the rush slip ons. I have a service manual and i thought that i read that you could install the mufflers without taking the header pipes off. I think that the problem is with those muffler interconnect bracket as you cant pull out and slide the mufflers off, thanks for any help.

No need to remove header if you're installing slip-on's & same w/exhaust port gaskets b/c they' go between header pipe & cyl port. Might want to think about swapping muffler clamps, but no need for new gaskets.

There should be no need to remove the header pipe for the slip ons, once they are installed please PM me and let me know how you like them !
