1st wreck with a car
WRecked my sportster just 2 hours ago a lady cut me off she was making a left hand turn. Luckly I got slowed down enough and turned just right onley the throttle side of bars went into fender well of the sport utility vehicle. Was able to drive away after the police report. My 883 custom seems to be ok but not sure if I sgould take it to a stealership and get checked out or not.

glad to hear you are not another statistic. Get the bike checked out and fixed, then be safe.
This is a bad time of year ... Spring is in the air, most of us have cabin fever and the cagers are not used to sharing the road with us.
In February, one of my co-wokers friends was killed when he went out during a warm day.
Last Sunday it hit the 50s around here so i had to get some ride time in. I was rollin through an intersection when this lady talking on her phone was stopped at the red light decided she sat long enough and pulled a right turn with me about 15 feet away from her. I was going between 35-40. I saw the drivers front wheel start to turn and in a milisecond, leaned it to the left hit the throttle and swerved into the empty turn lane on the other side of the road to get around her.
Hopefully the drivers will start to consider bikes on the road and take a second or third look before swinging into traffic.
Again, glad to hear you are ok.
