Bought a 71 that was literally in pieces. Put it in the shop over a year ago, which was a mistake since the guy never finished the job. Decided to put it together myself rather than paying somebody else again...determined to ride it this year. Currently attempting to convert the kick start ignition to an electric start. The starter turns but it is not engaging. Anybody have any ideas what I am doing wrong?
