Default C&C seat fit?

Just bought a C&C Lopro for my iron 883. Vinyl with gel. haven't been able to take a long ride on it yet, but so far I like it and the material makes the stock seat feel like plastic. It also arrived a few days earlier than I expected, which was nice.

however, it doesn't seem to fit as well as the stock seat. The mounting bracket at the rear of the seat seems like the hole is nearly too big for the original mounting screw, and you can move the front of the seat (up against the gas tank) back and forth. After I got done with a ride I noticed it was not lined up with the tank any longer, and found you can wiggle it back and forth a good inch or so.

Is this normal?

Anyone have these issues with aftermarket seats? Is this normal, or should I write to C&C to talk about this?

That doesn't sound right. Did you keep the rubber sleeve off the tab on the front of the stock seat? You need that on the new seat, and it may be (part of) your problem.

No pics, I'm at work.

there never was a rubber tab on my stock seat, to the best of my knowledge. I will check when I get home after work though.

thanks for your response. I like the seat and I really want to make it work.

Once you tighten the bolt down really good your seat shouldn't move at all. You might just need a washer to secure it better so it doesn't move.
