Have you cleaned any corrosion off of the relay contacts? Not fuses...relays.

Default Bump***update***

Bump***update*****

Went out to start bike today after driving it to gym and working out. No start. Problems started all over again. I worked on it for 2 hours checking connections, fuses, battery etc. Battery was taken to a dealer and tested good. Conections are good, no corrosion on fuse box etc..

I'm at my whits end with this and starting to hate harleys . My hondas never had any problems...

So...what else can I look for/check? Do ignition coils go bad? How can you check to see if relays are bad?? Rectifier regulator? So weird and it seems as though something has gradually gone bad and is at point of no return until corrected. Thanks folks!!!!

you might want to swap out the 2 relays for new ones just to make sure. They are cheap. I have had some go bad and even after cleaning the contacts they would not work. The insides of them go bad.

So, switch the run switch off, turn the key all the way back and pull out. Double check that the key was not removed in the ACC position. Rinse & repeat.

Otherwise, best of luck chasing the electrical gremlins! As others have said, I suspect the plug wires, crank sensor or toasted relays, but seeing how it is intermittent, the plug wires might be the problem -- been there, done that too...yank the wire instead of the boot and wonder WTF is wrong!

Diagnosing is the worst part! Especially electrical related issues. I'm gonna go get 2 relays and check for spark again to rule those things out. Is there a way to test for bad cam sensor?
