I get the girls, the guys, and the greatest bike!
So I'm a girl on a girls bike. I get the guys because they love chicks on bikes and now I get the girls too! Wow, my lucky day. No wonder I love my sporty!!

Rick Petko and Vinnie DiMartino from Orange County Choppers ride Sportsters, and they are two of the very few that I respect over there. Get what you want, and forget what others think. Buy a Sportster and it is a girl's bike. Buy a Harley of any kind and it is an oil leaker to the metric guys. Buy a cruiser and they are slow to the sportbike guys. Buy a sportbike and they are a bunch of wimpy punks riding hand standers. Buy a chopper and the bobber guys hate it. Buy a bobber and the chopper guys hate it. Buy a Suzuki and everybody else hates it. All in all, you are not gonna please everybody, and who would want to. Please yourself, that is all that matters. It always surprises me that people spend money they don't have to buy things they don't want to impress people they don't even like.

at 1 point in time the Sportster was the big bike on the block..........the only place I have ever heard that is on the interweb. The other day I wore a Harley Sweatshirt with Barnett HD on the back. A guy at work asked me if I have ever been there. I was like yes,I was stationed in El Paso @ Ft. Bliss and then he asked what kind of bike I had. I replied I own a Sportster and he replied,it's ok at least your riding. I just laughed it off,he rides an Ultra and asked if he wanted to race for pinks It ended the convo.....

As a young kid growing up, Harleys were rare. We had a Honda dealer in my town and the largest bike on the road was a Honda 305 Superhawk. So, when I ride a 1200 Sportster, I feel like I'm riding a big man's bike. The last bike I owned before that, twenty years ago was a Honda 750 and I thought it was a monster. I guess it's just someones perception of what is a girls bike and a guys bike. To me, it's a man's bike and girls love them!
