rear tire question

rear tire question
Ok. so i've been wanting to go to a bigger rear tire for some time now and it's now time to change up the tire. But....today i was in my local machine shop picking up some part i'm going to powdercoat for him and i see this rear tire, rim and sprocket off a cross bones... he wants 70 bones for the entire set up. what all would be needed to do this? chain conversion and then slap the sucker on there? my fender is already chopped but it wouldn't take anything to fab up another one if i needed a wider one. i guess my question is what all is needed and has anyone done the 200mm tire swap? i've seen a few 250mm's but i don't want it that big
thanks in advance

200mm on a sportster will change bike handling big time.
It will slow turn in considerably.
Gonna cost you a bundle.
As you lean Into a turn It will Increase "Apparent" fall off of the front tire.
For normal riding you should only notice a little Increased effort to Initiate
a turn.
If you decide to ride harder then you may notice a push,
Hope you don't have a skinny custom front tire,,It will be worse,,,
It's just my 2 cents,,,not worth much,,,
