just installed the x14ieds as well. Immediate improvement in performance ( no popping, pipes are cooler, more responsive) Paid $116.00 and it was money well spent - took 10 minutes to install (and I'm a girl!)

OK I bought the X14ieD's and installed. I cranked her up with the the bike not starting (but the starter worked). After trying four or five times, smoke came out from under the seat - the pos. batt. terminal melted off - completely.

I got a new battery - it all worked fine, started right up, sounded great. Today I started it to move it, went great, then tried to start it and move it back - the starter worked but she didnt start. tested both sparkies and no spark. I pulled the coil and I think the coil is fried. I would hate to think the X14's had something to do with it, but I find it too concidental. Anyone else have similar issues or heard of this?

This may seem like a stupid noob question but would x14ied's work on my iron and would they eliminate the need for a PCV or would they just be an addition ?

Thank you

The X14's are put in between the EMC ( I think) and the O2 sensors and make the Fuel/air mix richer - I don't think a PCV would be part of that.
