Default Carry a guitar on a nightster?

I've had my 08 nightster for a few months now and was wondering if anyone out there has ever tried carrying a guitar on one? It'd be great to ride my bike to jams instead of hauling out my car all the time. I have a hard case for my guitar (accoustic), and the best I can come up with right now is to buy a long sissy bar like this one...

and try bungeeing it to my guitar case somehow. Any other ideas?

Can you add some kind of sling to teh case?

I've never taken a guitar, but I have slung rifle cases. NOt the most comfortable for long distances, but if it's just a trip across town, it might work.

I saw a guy on the highway once that had crutches tied to his sissybar then had all of his gear strapped to the crutches looked pretty funny

I have a softcase with shoulder straps to wear it as a backpack.

I've seen a guy riding a crotch rocket with a golf bag on his back... I think a guitar is possible. Again, I think it comes down to the proper case.

ROAD RUNNER makes a gig bag (soft) with back pack straps. In fact, in their advertisement, they show a guy riding a bike with the bag on his back.

I've carried my golf bag slung across my back/shoulders to a "business outing" before and then my daughters (pink) softball equipment bag another time too. I say that backpack set up would work.
