Default highway pegs

anybody use a highway bar to stretch out on the slab? got a 1000 trip in june and want to stretchout and move around but dont want a big engine guard on my bike. Was thinking something that attached to the down tube somehow that lets me stretch my legs out like over the brake and shifter. If this made any sense to anyone and you have something like it can i see a pic?

I have the H-D Adjustable Highway Supports/pegs. They are easy to install (they install where the forward controls would go) and very sturdy.

I love my highway pegs.
I'm not a fan of forward controls, I like my mids for when the road is twisty.

I just bought a pair of 6" peg extenders, the proper size clamps and threw on some cheap pegs. They clamp to the downtubes in about 5 min. , the pegs flip up out of the way when they are on the bike and you can pop them off in 5 min. when you get home.
cost about 45 bucks total.

Forward controls or forward pegs are 100 times more comfortable than riding long distances with mids. I do agree that mids are better for twistys but get uncomfortable after about 100 miles.

That works great if you ride an '03 or older bike that has the 1 1/4" diameter frame tubes. '04 up frames are 1 3/8".

Those mounts are on an FXR, which hasn't been produced since the FXR4 model in 2000.

Try Googling "mustache Bar". You'll get stuff like this:

Good point! I didn't know they were different.
I haven't looked, but dosen't anyone offer 1 3/8" clamps?
I already run forwards, I like the easy of install and removal.
