Default march 1, 2011. sad day

ok so like the title to my thread says, march 1st was a extremely sad and painful day for me and my family. i was on my way to work in pasadena, tx and not even 2 minutes into my commute i was hit on my sporty. i had it just at 4 weeks that day, it is totalled and insurance already owns it. my right femur is broken i had fractures in my hips and pelvic area along with a blood clot in my left leg. my surgery was the day after i was so on wednesday i had a metal rod put into my femur, i have been home since thursday and i got my staples out on tuesday the 15th, i had tried to post on the forum but i accidently used my fathers profile to do it but cant figure out how to delete the thread. 4 days after i was in the hospital me and my parents figured out how old the man was that hit me, THE DAMN BASTARD WAS 95 YEARS OLD, i am lucky to be alive, the man could barely even walk so why was he driving? insurance is already wanting to settle on my bike and im not sure about anything else because my parents are taking care of the insurance stuff and im just taking care of myself and recovering. i will be back on a bike i just dont know exactly when, doctors told me i will be walking with a walker for 3 months and possibly getting back on a bike in 6 months hopefully for my sanity it will be sooner. if i figure anything else out about what i will be getting in a bike and settlement from the guys insurance, him and or his family i will let all my brothers of the road on here know. this wont keep me down all i need now is thoughts and prayers and i will be totally fine.

Sorry for your unfortunate event! I hope you get well very soon and back on 2 wheels !
I don't know why they don't make seniors retake a driving test! Take care!

WOW! Sorry for the loss of your bike, but I'm glad you're still with us. I hope you heal up quickly and everything works out ok with the insurance company. -Dave.

Well any ride that You can walk away from ( eventually ) is a good thing ! Got to fear those F.O.P.'s ( _ucking Old People ) as much as 16y/o blondes with cell phones. Heal quick, then ride safe.........WVleo
