I've worn novelty, currently wear Daytona half helmet. I measured as the website said, ordered accordingly, it fits good. There is some air lift above 50 mph but I do like the helmet. I'm looking at 1/2 and 3/4 helmets with a shield so I can ride with my glasses rather than contacts and riding glasses. Looking at Nexx helmets.

Let you know how I like the Novdot as soon as it arrives from Licks. Hopefully this week. Wife just bought a Zox 3/4 and likes it.

If you happen to come across a V8 in 58-60, at %35 off, let me know, at that price, it doesn't matter what color it is.

ETA: how is teh head shape on teh Roof compared to a Caberg (if you've tried one)

I have a Captain America - Easy Rider Fulmer V-2, very comfortable & gets me noticed, a big + when in heavy traffic.

Like has been said, shop around. But realize that the more expensive helmets (Shoei, Arai, etc.) are often much more comfortable, breath better, and cut wind noise better while still providing hearing.

I will push the FF helmet idea as well. I have tried 3/4 and half helmets. Hated the half, always felt as if it was being pulled off my head. Not comfortable. And the first time a large bug hits your face you may regret it. I had a bee get stuck between my goggles and cheek once. Stung me multiple times before I got pulled over. Not fun. Now I'm back to solely wearing FF helmets.

I run a Zox Classic 3/4 in the city (without the visor)...

...and a Zox Tyvani RN2 full-face (with dark tinted shield) on the highway.

Both are great helmets.

I want to thank everyone for their input and advice, what I have learned is that I most likely will own more than on helmet, that it needs to be snug to my head, you get what you pay for, and that if I am going to be highway driving a FF is advised. If I missed anything please let me know and thanks again
