is it possible and/or expensive to add cruise control to my 08 Sporster.Just bought my first bike ever and i dont know how i managed to ever live without a bike.I want to take long trips on my baby but cruise control would be nice.Guess its just a rookie thing i guess.anyone have any idea what it would cost to add this??

yeah, it's a rookie thing. the bike actually comes with "cruise" control. there is a little wing nut looking thing under the throttle that you can tighten at whatever speed you're going and it holds. loosen to go back to normal. i use it a lot when i'm on long straight roads. but imo you don't really need crusie control. do have to admit though, it would be pretty nice on a bigger bike like a street glide or something.

Be careful with that wing nut/throttle lock thing, just make sure you don't do this

Dude doesn't deserve a fine Harley-Davidson for pulling that stunt. Stupid for crashing a perfectly good bike for no valid reason, not to mention someone else's automobile, looked like.

And correct me if I am wrong, but aren't there people walking around all through that area?

MORON!!!

I've been using the Crampbuster on long highway runs - I'm a newbee rider- and an old bag to boot- my hand was cramping up LOL.
I just got Dr Cruise http://www.drcruise.me/ that fits on the wing nut and seems to work really well. I think there is something similar from Barefoot ******* - Throttle Tender?

They make universal kits that lock the throttle and yet break away when you shut the throttle or hit the front brake. Made of billet, too... nice setup.
