Every time I see the bike I think of how good those bars look on my Iron. Well worth it.
Also, double check the insulation around the wires because there may be some spots that it was scraped off.
That was my biggest fear, scraping off the outer case of the cables as I turned the bends,
Well they have only been on for three weeks and no flat battery or things not working so I'm going to guess all is well.
I've got black iso grips on these and man do they look good
Sorry for the thread hijacking...any pictures? I am waiting 'till I get my new seat put on before I take any pics.
Did you have any issues with the brake line. It seems like a tight fit.
No pics yet, I'm a bit like you, no pics till it's finished lol,
When you say its a tight fit what do you mean (short?) my controls are on but no brake cable yet, need to connect up the brake cable and refill the reservoir the bars have only been on for three weeks
I found with these bars the throttle cables seem a bit on the long side
The brake line is almost too short. I probably just need to loosen the banjo bolt and adjust. Unlike you, I left all the braking components in tact when I swapped out my bars. If there is one thing I hate to mess with on a bike, it is the brakes.
I rode in to work today, so I will get a crappy cell phone pic later.
Well, I didn't get a decent pic when I left work yesterday, so I snapped a quick one today. It is attached. Take note of that brake line.
Man that looks tight, is it the route you have taken, only ask as it's hard to see the route you took.
I'm off to Harley tomorrow to get some brake oil and a few bits and bobs, so hopefully I will get mine on tomorrow (if all goes to plan)
Will post how it goes if I get it done.
