Why did you pick your bars?????

How much did these cost you? These are exactly what I want for my bike.

I don't know where to even start. It would seem you have to install the bars and drive with them to know if you picked one that is comfortable.
Is there any particular way to address picking out a style?
I always felt apes looked odd. Guys driving with their arms up in the air, some even reaching up to grab their handlebars that seem over their head when they are seated. I do understand having taller bars to a point.
So how do you gauge what you need? Where did you start?

12" Burly narrow glide apes
I'm just in the middle of changing the stock bars and riser on my 2004 xl1200c, i'm going with 12" Burly narrow glige apes, 2 reasons I chose these, firstly although I am going from a 6" pullback riser to a 2" straight one, the 12" bars will raise my arms by about 5-6" making me more upright so less strain on the back, and secondly imo they look realy nice being narrower than most apes which imo often look to wide for the narrow front end on the sportster.

I first went to Keystones because I loved the look and couldn't afford getting cables and all but this year I am going with 14'' Road 6 Customs bars for look and comfort. My bro went from drag bars to apes and he said it was the best thing he's ever gotten for his bike because as mentioned above it fixed his riding position thus now much more comfortable.
