Default Retro look

Which Sporty looks more retro to you, the 48 or Ironhead?

Both look retro....but I think the 48 looks the most like an old bobber than any other bike in the line up....Of coarse I am a little biased since that is what I own....which will most likely be how most of your answers will be based...Both bike fit the bill of retro though.

Do you mean the Iron? Cuz in reality an Ironhead Sportster is more retro since it's older (1957-1986). The Iron on the other hand is an Evo engine and newer, just like the 48.

Okay. One site says 57-86, another says 57-85. The point is if the OP was referring to actual Ironheads as opposed to modern 883 Irons.

1957 Sportster:

Notice that this bike has the fat tank, not the small peanut tank of the Iron or the even smaller one of the 48. This is a great "retro" look that neither the 48 not Iron/Nightster have.

85 was the last year for the IH. assuming you meant iron, i'd say the 48 only cause of the tank and the 16 up front. just my 2 *** hairs.....
