Screwdriver, compressed air and wd-40.

Create a small pocket under the grip with screwdriver. Stick a small air tip attached to the compressor and blast some air. Squirt some WD in there, and hit it with air again. Rinse and repeat. Eventually you will be able to twist it off without damaging it. Took me about 10 min.

i used a heat gun at a safe distance and heated them up...kind of just slid off

Seems pretty simple. Thinking about new grips for mine too, but haven't decided on a set yet.
