Anyone had a Xied's and run their bike on a dyno? I am curious of the statements about the O2 sensors being utilized by the ECM until 60% throttle then the ECM just uses it's base map. Anyone seen a bike on a dyno with only a XVied or X14ied and watched the air fuel mixture? I have a '09 Iron with a set of drag pipe(Super Trapp X pipes) and a Ness big sucker and really am not worried about fine tuning, just making sure I get good fuel mixture. I didn't mind the stock tune which I know many say it is way too lean, I didn't mind it.

 

i like to know what base map ? at full throttle bike runs in open loop, ECM is not reading nothing ... i like to see a dyno run on these resitors....

 

What do you mean the ECM isn't reading anything during open loop? The only thing that the ECM is not reading during open loop is the o2 sensor voltage. It is still reading manifold pressure, throttle position, engine speed, engine temp, knock sensors, timing, and I'm sure I'm missing a few. The ECM still has a target afr that it is trying to obtain. Its just not checking to see if it hit that target because its not reading the o2 voltage. It is doing anything but dumping fuel in. It does run richer than when in closed loop though.
