LED turn signals without balancer
#21
After I put it in I was testing and they started flashing fast again. I worked on it for half an hour then thought I better start the bike so the battery didn't get too low, as soon as I started the bike they started flashing correctly. Doh!

If it is just a resistor it is not an equalizer it is just a load balancer. It causes the unit to draw the same current as a plain bulb, and it will get hot.
An equalizer you only need one for all four signals, it will not draw extra current, not get hot and is usually alarm compatible.. www.customdynamics.com/loadequalizer.htm
part # Signal-Stabilizer-XL for 04 and up
part # GEN-HD-STABILIZER for 99 to 03

Mine flash at the normal rate. Anyone know how to post a clip on here. Didn't use a balancer. Maybe just a matter of time before it goes haywire?

Well, I installed the LED bulbs today. Unfortunately, the more expensive bulbs that change color snapped right off of the base when I installed them. They were lined up right with the correct orientation, and *snap* broke right off. Took a gamble and lost. I'll be leaving some bad feedback for sure.
The other cheapo ones are awesome. I put some in the rear and they look pretty sharp. I just need a bright sunny day to see them fully, but alongside the Bright *** Lights tail lamp, they're nice.
