I've been thinking about the dual brake set up. When I went to research it a bit, I couldn't find it. Does anyone know what's up?

I dont know for sure but i didnt think that there was a bolt on kit offered from the Moco. I think most guys source all of the parts off of the S model.

If you do get parts from the S model, be sure to get the master cylinder too.. It is different from the single disc master cylinder.

I know that there used to be one offered. I guess since the got rid of the Roadster, there isn't a Sportster offered with that set up. I'll just call the dealer today.

I'm not sure what years the 1200 Sports were offered, but isn't the Roadster a newrer version of the Sport?
If so I would get the newest Roadster set up I could find, or... go for the 49mm wide glide forks, 130mm tire & dual brakes from the Fat Bob.

The dealer here in town is closed on Monday's. So I'll have to check tomorrow, but I think they'll probably be able to order the parts. I was just wondering if anyone had noticed. Or if I was remembering wrong.

Yup,,go to the dealer parts guy,,
What ever year your bike is,,the Roadster parts are what ya need,
1 fork lower with the brake mount
1 brake caliper set up
Hardware,,,
1 Brake disk,,there Is a diff fer right and left.
1 brake line one into two manifold,,goes under the triple tree,,
1 Brake line
1 Banjo fitting
1 or 2 Different axle spacers,,,
It may need a different hub laced in if ya have spokes,,

And AND AND do not miss this,,,,,MOST IMPORTANT<<
Your brake master cyclinder CANNOT handle the double volume of a
two brake system.

You MUST get a new master cylinder made for a twin disk system.
Or you will only get 1/2 the pressure In each caliper and you will need the grip of
a Gorilla to reach a quick stop.
This could get you killed,,,
Also,,,you will need to re-learn your brakes because with twice the swept area
you will no longer feel any brake fade at all.
If you were to forget and grab em like you use to with the single,,oh my,,thats bad.
99% of my braking Is a Two finger afair and yes I can lock the front with my
Index and middle finger.

(There Is the possibility that with late model Sportsters the Master cylinder Is the same for dual or single) Your Life depends on getting this right.

P.S.,,, Betcha I forgot a few parts,,so be nice to the parts guy XD

BTW the cost Is gonna bite ya,,
Consider just making the single better,,,
Stainless steel brake lines,,
Twin or triple piston caliper,,
Better brake pads::: Make shure If you go for stronger pads they are made
to work with your current Disk, Buy only from someone that you can talk to
and they know for shure their pads will not destroy your disk.

The Only real advantage of the Dual system Other than a lighter feel can only be felt by those who
need the finer touch for deep Trail braking ( Braking deep Into a corner) as In all the way to the apex or beyond.

If yer not trying to ride your sportster at or near 100% of the bikes limits think twice about the dual Brake system,,

Cons:
It will add 11-13 Lbs of Unsprung weight to the front end and you will definatly need to get Into some fork tuning.
It will Prolly set you back a $1,000 If not more.
