Gonna sand this thing down this week and shoot it. I think my bike is way too monotone, so I wanna add a bright gaudy color to it. Ugly, oldschool, maybe a single stripe to offset, etc. I was thinking a green with gold flake. I'd like some input.

Damn. I wanted to be the first one on the forums (these days) to post a flake metal tank pic. I plan on doing my tank one solid flake metal color soon, whenever my new tank gets here.

Anyway, the green with a gold flake paint strip sounds pretty bad-***. Would not have thought of that myself.

 

I've always been partial to yellow, but what ever you do it's bound to look sweet, keep us informed.

I always thought it would be cool to use the shoot n C target color scheme...The flat/denim black would look cool with the fluorescent green and maybe a hint of red somewhere...Think this:

I like root beer but red would look sweet too, esp with black.

 

Pagan Gold with Organic Green Kandy on top. Did a chopper that scheme once, looked KILLER!

I really want my Nightster tank painted orange metal flake. Pretty much the same color as the Bell Custom 500 Orange Helmet I'm getting soon.

 

What about stripping it to bare metal, do a candy green stripe/scallop/whatever, then clear coat the whole thing.
