Default La pera bare bones... Any thoughts?

I'm trying to make a decision as to what seat to get for my nightster. I've seen the bare bones and it looks awsome but some people say its uncomfortable. I mostly do in town riding. Those of you who own one, whats your thoughts and do you have any pics? Thanks all

The name of the seat says it all. (Bare Bones) I have the silhouette which has almost the same amount of padding as the bare bones maybe a little more. If your doing intown riding and not like constant hour + rides then i think you might be okay. But once you start doing long rides in a day you might want to change your mind.

Check out this thread for Bare Bone Photos : https://www.hdforums.com/forum/softa...are-bones.html

I just got mine w/t gel, it is hard but not that bad, so far ( no long trips yet). I have a Cobin Hollywood solo on a Sportster (hard but softer then a Bare Bones) and a Cobin Classic solo on a Road King (nice seat for a long ride).
I really do like the look of the Bare Bones.
Good Luck,
Rod
One more thing, the Bare Bones cost the most also...

I have one, love the looks. Bad *** little seat. Use my bike as a bar hopping hot rod. Fine for that. Tried a couple of 2-3 hour rides, not good seat for that. Bought a Mustang Vintage sole for long rides and switch them out depending on the riding for the day.

I have one and will say that it would not be the best seat for a long hall but for around town it ok but I love the look

Here is a shot of my bike with the seat

I have one on ebay right now for sale, came from my 09 1200C with 4.5 gal tank. Looks great, rides great, but I bought a stock Nightster seat for the Spring weather (longer rides coming up).
