14" or 16" apes on a Sporty?
I'm going to put apes on but am stuck between 14" and 16". There is a guy in my building with a Sporty who *thinks* he has 16" (he's not 100% sure) and they felt good to me--I could turn the handlebar all the way both ways till the wheels locked.
Any opinions?
Thanks.

Interesting, and that's something I never thought of trying...
I like the bars on my WideGlide, and might throw some on my 1200C this winter.

One thing that I've learned from experience when it comes to making sure you have a valid license, insurance, and registration, and try not to draw attention to either yourself or your bike.
If you happen to have a CCW Permit (Concealed Carry Permit) you want to make sure all your 'paperwork' is in order, especially when traveling out of state, and try not to have any obvious equipment violations.
There are many 'reciprocity states', which are states that will honor the CCW Permits of other states, so you can ride in that state with a concealed weapon and it is perfectly legal.
But many times law enforcement officers tend to 'profile' Harley riders, especially if they are long hair, weather beaten, out of state riders cruising down one of their highways. Not saying this happens frequently (the profile thing), but it does happen.
If you happened to be stopped for some reason, and happen to have a loaded .45 automatic (or some other weapon) in your waistband, most LEO's tend to be a little more 'critical', so make sure you are legal, and don't give them an obvious reason to pull you over..
