While I agree most bikes look better without them, they definetly are nice on the road and protect you from a lot of flying crap! With the Sporty, I would go with one of the HD quick disconnect models, the size is up to you. I also prefer the smoked lexan to clear. A windshield will really increase the quality or your ride on longer trips. Take it off for putting around town for the look of the bike. jmo
