Default 99 sportster 1200 help

Looking at buying a 99 Sportster from a guy on Craigslist, Wanted to know if there is anything specific I should look out for with that year sporty? He says that the float sticks on the carb sometimes but he only wants $3000 and a carb rebuild kit is $30 and I have rebuilt carbs on snowmobiles and fourwheelers before so i dont see a problem doing that myself. He has put a 21" front rim, custom headlight, custom seat, its been lowered, raked, just about every chrome part you can put on it is on it. and it has just under 8000 miles.

Any help given would be greatly appreciated.

99 is a good year for sportys. What model is it? How did he "rake"it? That would be my only concern. Oh yeah, why is he selling it?

its a 1200S, he put a new front end on it with the rake in the trees not very much rake just enough to be able to tell its not stock. He said he was selling it bc he lost his job and needs the $$$

attached is the picture he sent me.

I would be all over it, especially at that price. I paid $3800 for my 98 custom and it only has a couple simple mods. I love my bike. So I say do it quick before its gone.
