At first I thought, "Wait a minute, don't the Irons normally MSRP for that price?" But then they will charge a $400 setup fee, $350 destination fee, $200 paperwork fee, $75 test riding fee, $50 fee to cover mailing you coupons, $50 for the salesman to get the key from the back office fee, $1400 extended warranty fee or $750 warranty denial fee, $50 air in the tires fee, $50 gas fee, $500 "because they can" fee, etc. etc. etc., and I realize you did not get a bad deal. Nice bike, looks great! Enjoy it, and ride safe!

HAHA! I only got charged for their doc fee, tax, and to change my plates over, which ended up being less than $500.

Several post have commented on it being a great deal, but how can we know when there was no mention of what the trade in deal was? For all we know they only gave him a buck two ninety eight for the trade.

Nice bike - I want one, but gotta get kids through school first...then I'll get my "round-town" scooter.

Can you take the heat shields off & cut/drill holes - then ceramic coat to get the look you want? Might be a nice weekend project...??

I traded an '05 XL883C with 5,200 miles for $3,500. It's above KBB value and I didn't feel like waiting to sell it myself, so I was alright with it.

And I'd rather just pay for the heatshields than do them myself. I've done enough home projects on my cars to last me a while. I think I'm actually going to buy the Roland Sands clip-ons and get the HD headlamp visor, just haven't seen if the RSD bars are dimpled or not. If they're not dimpled, I guess I'll get some drag bars and figure out how to get the wires in the controls.

I really like the Silver iron's and it seems you got a great deal on it. it's always nice when you get a bike that gits your style more then the last one. I love both my bikes and think they look great, but I would so love to have a bobber, but don't want to cut my bikes up so at some point I may get a bike to cut.

Nice bike. Since I drive 2 up almost all the time, I really like my custom. However, I also really like the Iron as well as other sportster styles. Enjoy the mods !
