Howdy, I have an '87 EVO motor out of the frame right now just prepping to put back into my XR750 replica project. The motor just generally looks like hell. It's faded and ugly. I don't want to polish it, as I prefer the satin finish. What's the best way to brighten up this finish? Thanks for ideas!

 

i just use simple green and a nylon brush, and sandpaper

 

Lots of elbow grease and Scotch Bright pads.

 

Maybe try that aluminum brightner they sell for aluminum running boards, It's some kind of an acid base so try a small hidden area first and be sure to keep it away from any rubber or painted parts.

 

Pig spit works well no joke!!

 

I wonder how many people are hunting a pig to get sum spit.
