The only reason I dont like to see people buy v&h is because so many people already have them on their bikes. I have nothing against the construction, materials, sound or looks. In fact, I like the way they look. Its just that so does everyone else. Thats my only beef.

Id rather have custom pipes wrapped up in black wrap.

just me.

I set off many a car alarm with my V+H Staggered Shortshots on my FatBob. I'd say that's loud enough. Of course that's just an opinion.

The troll that posted this in the first place or the dipshit that bumped a 2 year old thread.

Me personally thinks the OP needs to get out more. V&H short shots are LOUD. I had straight shots on my dyna, and those were just as loud as the 2 1/4" open pipes I currently run (and that was WITH the baffle). I have never had any quality issues installing V&H pipes, and the side shots are solid performers. "Not loud enough" (when the pipes fit properly and work as well as any others) does not justify suck. Big hint- If you want to be taken seriously on this forum, thinking about your posts for say, 3/10ths of a second, will go a long way to prevent you from posting stupid statements (see also: this thread) and making us think that you are a tool.

You say that as if it's a good thing. Keep running those pipes and you'll end up with serious hearing loss.

I have Vance & Hines short shots too. You know why so many people have them? Because they are great sounding pipes and have a nice look. I have no complaints, but my neighbors do since they are a bit loud.

The best sounding exhaust is never the loudest exhaust. Kind of a quality vs. quantity thing.

Ok, I'll bite and add to the drama:

Too much time spent on this thread arguing and defending opinions, perspectives, and philosophy. There's no right or wrong answers on opinions. And "over-generalizations" based on limited experience may be presumptuous.

I'm not a V&H patron but vould it be the pipes tried wasn't good for a particular application?

K.
