Default Started the exhaust on the Detroit Bros. drop seat

Drunk Roger doesn't have a job so he's been my in-house photographer. I cheated though. I started with some plain old Khrome Werks drag pipes

[IMG][/IMG]

and a build your own header kit from Jegs

[IMG][/IMG]

My bender squashes the hell out of exhaust tube. I like the "bends in a box" like that. I've already built 2 sets of pipes from that box before I took that pic.

This is where I separated the front pipe. Just behind the mount

[IMG][/IMG]

and removed this much from the rear pipe

[IMG][/IMG]

Here's the rear pipe tacked together and the front pipe fitted

[IMG][/IMG]

And here's the left over piece from my front pipe

[IMG][/IMG]

I left the mounts on both the rear pipe & left over front piece & bolted them together

[IMG][/IMG]

[IMG][/IMG]

Grabbed a 90 out of my box-o-bends and cut it in half

[IMG][/IMG]

Tacked one of the cut ends to the front pipe and the other to the left over front pipe...after I stared at it for a while lol.

[IMG][/IMG]

Here it is tacked up. I had to add a small piece just behind the master cylinder

[IMG][/IMG]

This bike will have a sprotor and the caliper I have is ugly. So my main goal was to hide it. I'm going to coat em black and wrap em up tonight maybe. We have a mini blizzard so it's kind of tricky to get to the shop.

Thanks for looking!

Makes me miss HS metal shop - great fab work. Want to hear a sound clip of these pipes when done...bet they set-off all the neighborhood alarms.

Thanks! They're going to have to be baffled. The rear pipe is pretty short. To keep it between 0.5 an 1 lb of vacuum for proper backpressure I'll have to do some tuning with the baffles. More so on the rear pipe.

Looks great! simple, clean and with a purpose...good stuff.

you probley thought about this but you might run into some tuning problems with the front pipe being twice as long as the back pipe...just figured I'd throw it out there...they look great....i dig watchin your tank progress on the other board

Yeah, I have kind of a plan though. The vacuum gauge helps a ton. I don't think it'll be impossible.

It's wierd posting on two boards. I see you do it so I figure what the hell, right? Lol. Actually, I see you everywhere!
