Default Quick question about rain and open a/c

I want to do an open air A/C (kinda like the thread mreed did) any ways my question is has anyone every had a problem with the air cleaner when riding in the rain. I would not think so but I am just making sure. Also I do not want to run a sock on it. One more thing could I spray it with waterproofer kinda like you use for shoes to keep the water out.

well, I have a velocity stock (open air) on my carb (I've heard EFI is better in rain) and when it poors down I have trouble riding...I bought a sock for mine and it took care of the issue. why would you not want to get a sock to throw on when its raining?...you wouldn't need to keep it on all the time. as far as a waterproofer I don't think that would sound like a good idea...I'll bet it would mess up your air flow pretty good

I have issues in a hard rain, even with a sock, it has me confused because so many do not have an issue.
