Another "dumb question".

II took my air filter and bracketing off. The stock crankcase breather bolts have the little hole. Is it possible to use the stock bolts, attach and run a 90° elbowed piece of tubing?

I hope that makes sense.

I found the air cleaner brace at jp cycles for $35 (p/n 4000405)

Also a crankcase breather kit at jp cycles for $30 (p/n 4000330)

My other idea was to attach the rubber hoses with worm clamps and vent outside.

Pretty cool mod; I made one today. I'll post up some pics as soon as I get the breather bolts sorted out. I got the wrong ones so I'm sorting that out. Total time to modify the air cleaner, scuff it up and spray it with some black appliance paint was about 30 minutes.

Correct breather bolts will be on the way tomorrow.

I put a K&N in mine and love it. I can actually get my knee against the tank with it.

On my ca model, I have a tube that connects to the emissions canister from the back plate of the air breather... does anybody have a way to connect this??
