This may have already been discussed but is there a way to drill the support bracket and the air filter backing plate so a nipple can be inserted to vent crank case right back into the 4" filter using hose and a small T fitting? so that the hoses can be mostly hidden. Is there room on the edge of the filter somewhere?

like this but drilled and inserted where it can fit in between the support bracket and the engine. ( if it can)

Pardon my artistic ability..
I do realize the the pressed nipples in the crank case vent fittings would have to be pulled so that the fittings could be tapped for smaller fittings like you did with the filter that stuck out to far for your likings. But would this be doable?

Question, why do you need the chrome bracket, why can't it just mount to the holes in the carb or EFI directly?

The bracket holds the carburetor into the manifold. Without it, the carb falls out. Might create a vacuum leak.

Default small cheap air cleaner

Why do you need the chrome bracket, why can't it be bolted directly to the bolt holes in the carb or EFI?

K9tamer I think I have seen what you are talking about on bigger bikes. Small tubes that go behind the filter and directly into the throttle body. No drilling anything, I imagine small diameter copper tubing could be fit under the filter and the bracket filed to accomodate. But like dkcustom says, hot oil/air doesn't belong in an intake performance wise. It would clean up the look tho.

I was just wondering because the stock set up goes into the air cleaner right? Also they sell brackets that route the crank case breather bolts internally back to the air cleaner. Whats the difference?

You don't soak your air filter in oil the second way. Lol personally I vent to atmosphere. I am a function over fashion kinda guy tho.

On my 2009 the EFI isn't mounted in rubber, the throttle body is bolted to the manifold,no rubber between to 2 of them.

I asked the same Question two page's back i think. Anyway if I make one I will run the lines to the back of the filter housing.
