Man that sucks but thanks for posting. BEWARE of Jireh. Big parts companies are going down the drain pretty fast. Seems they don't care anymore about customer service, proper pricing or actually shipping the right part because sales quantities from everyone else not aware keep on buying from them.

yes its same backing plate for all sporsters but the efi bikes are sposed to have a spacer that goes between throttle body and backing plate to fill that 1/8inch to 1/4inch gap and who ever installed it did not put spacer and tightned the 3 air filter screws to tight and crunshed air filter and tried the get backing plate to touch throttle body to fill gap and craked it, its what u get when u buy used bikes

um yeah....they crack even when you torque them to spec. i've started threads over that **** and the oil blow by that they exude. ness replaced the backing plates free of charge but that doesn't mean they're not crap. i think they even know it at this point.

so I have an 03 883 and there is this flapper type window on the bottom of the original a/c and it has about 3 or 4 wires coming from it. I unplugged it at the plug but wondering if it will be ok for me to leave it unplugged? Also there is a breather type hose coming from the tranny on the right side. Do I plug or plumb into the head breather?

never mind. Im guessing its for the emissions crap. Finished my jockey shift so had no time to deal with hose but realized what it was once I got back from the maiden jockey shift voyage.

Id give them a little more credit, I havent experienced that. Prior to submiting order you are shown freight and total of order.

Doesnt sound right I ended up going with jireh cycles since it was the same kit as the NRHS one and only paid 49.20 total to ship to Colorado. I was also clever enough to get a coupon off of the web for their site for 20% off the part.

Just my 2 cents for anyone looking to use them they arent that bad or maybe I was lucky?

Now to actually install it.....hopefully I will get to it this weekend.

Yeah, I listed it on the first page I think. You can get them at just about any parts store, Jegs or Summit Racing.
